You can't transform in battle in this game (you can in all the other dbz games but not this one) you can only pick your transformation when you select your character.
You can only transform with one charater. That is Normal Goku. When he goes Kio-ken.
And all the other charaters can't transform.

You must choose your "Preferred Ascention" before going into battle.
No you have to unlock the transformed characters in the game.
