A couple questions (plz answer)

Is there a way to change your story mode characters name ? And what do you do if you can't get any more points in tha gym?like i cant get any farther and for the other question i really need to know

There's no way to change your characters name. Once you name him, he's stuck with it all the way and if you already beat story mode, there's no way to get development points.
