I am playing crash bandicott wrath of cortex and can not figure out how to get the yellow gem? This is for my disabled son can anyone help?

You have to complete the yellow gem death route in level 22, which can only be acessed if you get to the platform for the death route without dying in the level, if you die, you must exit the level (back to the warp room) and try again from the beginning of the level
