How To Beat the Ice Titan!

Ok here it goes. This battle was pretty tough, and took me a little under an hour to beat, but I did it in my first time.

First, make sure you have the greatest amount of MP possible. You can take off abilities such a Raganork and Trinity Limit for this battle since you won't need them and with the extra AP equip abilities having to do with your MP such as MP Rage. Keep the Aracnum ability just for when the titan puts his head down.

You see, the Ice Titan is VERY tall, and you need to get to the head, which obviously is at the top. Therefore, you have to use magic because he only bends down ONCE and there isn't a way to climb onto him. Trust me, I've tried.

Equip the Strike Raid ability, as this is very useful. Also equip High Jump, which you can get at Monstro if you haven't already. Also, make sure you have dodge roll and glide(super glide) ability equipped.

Have Exilirs and Ethers ready, but use them sparingly.

You need Curaga, Thundaga, and Graviera(graviga) in your magic shortcuts.

Ok, now, the Ice Titan has ALOT of attacks (the descriptions are toward the end of this hint). They don't come out much in the beginning. When you take away one of his life bars, he'll bend down but ONLY once and ONLY for seconds. SO GET IN THERE AND ATTACK HIS HEAD AT ALL COSTS because the rest of the battle just gets tougher. You see, after that one life bar is lost, he has a whole new range of attacks. I'll describe those later.

To get his life bars down, you need to use Strike Raid, Graviga, and Thundaga, but Thundaga doesn't do much.

Get on the steps toward the outer edges of the Colyseum and jump and glide toward the monster and use Graviga while in the air. Try to time it when he's not making any very horrible attacks. Make sure the gravity force ball thing is right over the titans head, or else it won't do much, if anything. FOR THIS BATTLE YOU NEED A LOT OF PATIENCE, AS IT TAKES A WHILE FOR THE LIFE BARS OF THE TITAN TO GO DOWN. It is a slow, but sure process, so make sure you have some time.

Every time you get hit, try to use Curaga because you will need it. The ice titan has no mercy. Be at least above level 70. Here is how to use Strike Raid. Make sure you have full health, because you'll have to go down to the titans feet or at least on the ground around him to do this attack. I've tried it from the steps, but it doesn't seem to work. When you get to the ground, and the Strike option appears, HIT IT before it goes away. Then, DON'T PRESS ANY OTHER BUTTONS UNTIL THE RAID OPTION APPEARS. DON'T PRESS ANY OTHER BUTTONS UNTIL IT APPEARS AGAIN. IT WILL KEEP APPEARING AS LONG AS YOU DONT PRESS ANYTHING UNITL IT ACTUALLY IS AN OPTION. IT WILL KEEP COMING UNTIL AN OPTION CALLED JUDGEMENT IS UP. MAKE SURE YOU GET THAT. That is very important. However, make sure you're in the right position to do this, or the strike raid won't make it to the titans head.

You can use Thundaga, but it barely takes off any life from the titan.

Now, for the attacks.

1. Try to stay in front of the monster so he doesn't have to turn around to face you. Do this because when he stomps to turn around, attacks fly EVERYWHERE (especially if this is after you have taken one life bar away and he has already bent down) and sometimes it's impossible to see anything. If that happens just keep running until you can see again.

2. Sometimes, when you glide to him, he'll wack you with his fist. Make sure you don't get wacked with his fist

3. When he puts his two hands near his face and they shake a little, GET OUT OF THERE and get behind him or out of his way, because in a split second he shoots a wide range of ice everywhere in front of him, and Sora is frozen! When the ice around him breaks, it takes away a good amount of health. It is very hard to escape this attack in time, however, and Sora usually gets frozen 2 times in every attack like this, so make sure you use Curaga after this attack. This attack seems to be his FAVORITE attack, as he does it often, so be aware.

4. Just like the attack above, this one is a little different. The titan will shoot a blaze of ice, but it will freeze the steps and the ground. If you walk on it, you'll fall down for a couple of seconds, leaving you prone to attack. So watch out for the patches of ice on the ground.

MAKE SURE YOU'RE USING CURAGA ALOT AND YOUR ITEMS SPARINGLY. THE BEST TIME TO USE CURAGA AND NOT GET HIT WITH AN ATTACK AT THE SAME TIME, jump up and while in the air use curaga. The best place to use it is on the steps, but sometimes you'll have no time to get there.

5. When the titan turns around to face you, if by chance you do get behind him, ice crystals will shoot at you. These are fairly easy to avoid, but there are a lot of them. Ice crystals also shoot at you at other times, not just when the monster turns around.

6. Then there are these big energy balls, that kind of look like your Graviga attack balls. If you just dodge roll, or run, you should be able to escape this attack, but be warned, it happenes often.

7. As I said earlier, try not to make the Titan turn around. When he stomps, a shock goes through the ground, just like Cerberus. Also, when he stomps, there are a number of different attacks that go on all at the same time. And like I said, It sometimes is impossible to see, so just keep running until your vision is cleared.

Usually, the screen turns white when all these attacks are going on at once so that's why the Titan is very dangerous when turning around.
