If you come across a caged crest and don�t know what to do, as you might with many other things in the game, then follow these instructions to get it. You will have had to have progressed past the part where Harry goes to quiddich try outs because that's where you learn the reparo spell which you need. First, you must cast wingardium leviosa on the crest and you can move it around in it's cell. You must send the crest flying into a wall surrounding it. If you do this correctly, the crest will shatter into pieces. Don't panic at the sight of the shattered crest because there's more. Next, bring the pieces out of the cell using wingardium leviosa (the pieces will fit through the gaps in the cage bars). This is where you need to know the reparo spell. Now, you must cast the reparo spell on the multiple pieces of the once will all come together and reform the formerly discombobulated crest into it's pristine condition. Now, you can proceed to add the crest to your collection. Good luck and I hope that you can retrieve those imprisoned crests.
