Dynasty warriors 4:XL is an addon pack for DW4, but you don't need DW4 to enjoy it.

DW4XL adds two new modes to play. Legend Mode has a single scenario for each character, highlighting a special event in that character's life (remember these were real people a long time ago!) The Xtreme mode is like an RPG - you have to travel through china, defeating all that stand in your way, forming alliances, finding items to help you on your way.

There is also a new challenge - the arena- where it's non-stop one on one duels!

If you have the original DW4 disc you can 'remix' it with DW4XL, and you can play the original scenarios with the new items and level 11 weapons you can earn.

I give this 8/10, and highly recommend it to owners of DW4
