When you do "tricks'" you charge up your "blasting speed" reserve.

I found that doing this one stunt at the big big jump ( the one right at the start) but you can only do it as you pass this place on subsequent laps, not at the beginning of the race.

For the first lap you sort of limp around using the track speedups as best you can.

Then when you come to the big big jump, hit X to jump and then press triangle and both UP and LEFT and hold them for THREE full twisting summersaults. This may take practice... but it will charge you COMPLETELY.

(Triangle and just UP would give you three summersaults, or triangle and just LEFT will give you three rolls, but that would only get your meter half charged.)

You can use triangle with down and left, or up and right, whatever works for you... but the THREE twisting summersaults is the key.

Now on the rest of your laps take the high routes of the track as much as possible, hitting the floating stars as much as possible and SPEND your charged-up meter to keep up your blasting speed between the track speedups.

Kenny 2x4 answered:

There's something quicker than that actuallly, on the first ramp, time your jump then do the roll move(x+< or x+>) for about 4 or 5 turns and your speed burst bar will be atleast 3/4s full!

brave_hat answered:

Youre right, Kenny 2x4, five rolls will get you nearly three quarters of a full charge.

Likewise 5 forward summersaults will also get the same charge. But five twisting-summersaults takes exactly the same amount of time and gives a FULL charge.

If you get off the direction buttons before letting go of the triangle, Spyro will automatically straighten out for landing.

So charge up your meter immediately, and again at the end of each lap.

Use the charge to overtake and bump those yeti off the track and feel free to shoot them with the red missiles.

Just Do Tricks & You Will Get Boost Power

Keep rolling around and burning it with flame.

DigDug Dude answered:

At the first jump in the game do as many backflips as you can. If you do it correctly each lap you should have a full tricks/ boost meter that you can use for the rest of the lap. Don't forget to do this every lap.

JakMaster21 answered:

First, decline the offer to race. Then go on the track, take a left, and follow the track until you get to the giant wall (almost all the way around), go to the right of the track, then find a boost star, atay there for 1 hundered boosts. Wen you start the race, you will have enuff boost to finish the race.

Hope it helps

SuperHyperSonicShado answered:

Doing tricks will definetly be a sure-fire way to beat it. Also burn them and they'll restart from a save point.
