In Mideel with Cid as your leader walk around on the wooden plank path constantly pressing circle until you he says there's a key way down there.

Then, go into the shop with the false door and have cid tryto open it.

Afterward go back and you'll be able to get the key! When you try to use it on the door it will break.When the game asks tell the truth to the owner and he will give you the curse ring.
