Unlockables Guide

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was originally released in 2013 and some features of the game required to be unlocked before they could be accessed. The 2022 re-release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a revamped and enhanced version of the game and still contains parts that need to be unlocked. This Unlockables Guide lists everything in the updated version that can be unlocked and the requirement to do so.

Unlock Episode: P3

Successfully complete Episode: P4 to unlock Episode: P3 which shows the story from the perspective of the Persona 3 cast.

Unlock Navigators

In Score Attack Mode Navigators are like commentators and support characters. They can be unlocked by completing all stages of Score Attack Mode with the character you want to unlock as a Navigator on the Risky difficulty setting. Shadow Labrys, Sho, Minazuki, Rise or Adachi do not have Navigators, but to unlock Nanako's Navigator, you have to defeat Score Attack on the Risky difficulty setting with Rise and Sho.

Unlock Round Callers

Nearly all the characters in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax can be unlocked as Ring Callers. Simply complete any Arcade mode with the round call character you want to unlock. Alternatively, Nanako can be unlocked as a Round Caller by completing Arcade Mode with at least nine characters. Fuuka can be unlocked by completing Arcade Mode with five characters, and Dojima can be unlocked by completing Arcade Mode with 13 characters. You can change your choice of Round Caller by going to the 'Options' menu and changing the character in the 'Ring Caller Preferences'.

Unlock Boss Mode

To unlock Boss Mode characters in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, you need to complete each Arcade Mode character on the Risky difficulty setting which is the highest difficulty setting in the game.

Unlock True Ending

Before the final confrontation you will be given two dialogue choices. In order to view the final ending you need to pick both choices and follow the scenes until you get sent back to the menu. This basically means pick one choice, watch the scenes to the end, then start the same chapter again and pick the other option. In every chapter there will be a 'Clear!' sign in the Story Mode timeline, if a chapter has a yellow sign it indicates you have to select that chapter and pick any dialogue choice you haven't yet. If the Chapter has a red 'Clear!' sign then it is fully completed.

Unlock Movie Illustrations

Complete that part of the in-game story. Once you have seen the movie or illustration it will become available to view it in the game's Library section.
