Surviving the Blood Moon - 3 Ways

The Blood Moon is a rare night event where Zombies can break down doors, all night enemies have an increased spawn rate, and all night monsters do double the damage they usally do. This hint will give you 3 Ways to survive the Blood Moon.

1. Emergency Room: While you are making your house, make a 2nd room ON TOP of the 1st room.

2. Door Blocking: Block all your doors as fast as you can, it is ok to leave out any NPCs you don't want.

3. Hiding In The Basement. :hide in your basement and block up the platforms into the basement if you have a basement, if you do not have a basement, do not use this way.

Hope this helped.

Sincerely,

SuperSonic Hints

Bosses + Unlocking them + Defeating them

The Eye of Cthulhu is the first boss a person might encounter on Terraria. He is one of the two bosses that may be re-fought multiple times. Cthulhu's Eye can be summoned with the "Suspicious Looking Eye" during the night only. Once summoned, you can not summon a second one. If you try, it'll be instant death. He'll also appear randomly when a message like "You feel and evil presence watching you.." appears on your screen. This boss disappears during the day. This boss starts with 3,000 health. Once the health points drop to 1,500 or less, the eye transforms into a mouth. Damage doubles from fifteen to thirty. If you have the Mini-shark, use it with the Meteor Shot to do massive damage to the Eye of Cthulhu.

The Eater of Worlds is the second re-fought after defeating it for the first time. There are two ways to summon this boss. The first way is with the item "Worm Food" which can be crafted at a Demon Alter. The normal way is by smashing three Shadow Orbs with a hammer. This boss will follow you regardless of where you go, so be sure to kill him quickly. Breaking the body in half just creates a new head, causing two to exist, so be careful. Each head has 140 health points, each body part has 230 health points, and the tail has 350 points. Smartest tactic is attacking it head-on. It might do the most damage from the head, but it has the least amount of health. Using a weapon like the Star Cannon (Deals out sixty five damage per hit on a rapid-fire) would stop it in it's tracks, killing the Eater of Worlds quite fast. Ammo is very hard to come-by for this weapon, though.

Skeletron is the final boss of the list. He is the only one who can not be re-fought. Skeletron guards the Dungeon on the world. The Dungeon will most-likely be at the maps edge (Ocean) or very close to the ocean. Skeletron has his floating head and hands. Both hands have 1,200 health points and the head has 6,000 health points. He does massive damage to the player (thirty five damage in a near consecutive streak when the skull starts spinning wildly and surrounding the player. Again, the Star Cannon is highly advisable for this boss, as well as a few Healing Potions as he can kill the player very quickly. Even if the player has maximum health, it's still very hard to win against Skeletron. If you try to enter the Dungeon before killing Skeletron (Day time) you'll die instantly*. If you try this during night, One or more Skeletron heads come after you**.

* I have not personally tried this myself.

** Again, I haven't tried this. Reason being I usually solo-kill Skeletron at night before entering. It takes too long to get to the Dungeon.

Surviving the Blood Moon

To survive the blood moon first block all upper level doors with blocks e.g. Wood. All doors touching the floor dig two holes down and two holes wide to be like this:

D___

L l

L__l

Where D is Door, l is dirt (one level) and _ is ground

Zombies can break doors down but cannot attack while jumping. By adding the hole they are forced to jump and thus cannot attack. Block any platforms into your house from outside to prevent Evil Eyes from entering.

On this picture I built the wall as I am not sure about the upper level ( It is connecter to a skyland)
