In-game effects while using Costumes

Different Costumes in the game can also provide you different effects whether visual or an additional effect, much like what lightsabers do.
Sith Acolyte - Provides faster charging of Force Push and Force Repulse, and faster effects of Force Lightning.
Experimental Jedi Armor - Faster running speed, increased overall mobility, faster combos and movements, and longer dash.
Dark Apprentice's Robes - (Built like a tank); stronger lightsabers, faster Force regeneration, stronger attacks at the cost of reduced movement speed.
Experimental Test Subject - Since it is your first costume, it is the weakest
Boba Fett - (no particular effect), Boba Fett's cloak interestingly swings while in motion.

Freeze Enemies

While fighting against the Carbonate War Droid, you have the advantage to freeze your enemies. Here are some examples on how to do this tactic;
- You can Force Grip the ice ball projectile it launches at you (in mid-range), then you can throw it to some nearby enemy infantry to freeze (and automatically kill) them!
- You can Force Grip infantries and position them in your front as the Carbonate War Droid sprays a steam of ice to freeze them.
- You can even Force Grip the ice ball and reflect it back to the War Droids and robots to freeze them temporarily. Act fast as these robots do not remain frozen for long, as they are not live enemies.
- Or you can just simply take cover behind an infantry when the War Droid tries to spray a freezing gas.

Funny Costume Results

You can try to "change" some parts of the game by simply just altering your costumes. Here's what you can do:
- Upon the entrance to the Salvation as Kota talks to Starkiller, change to Rahm Kota Costume and there will be two Kota's! Especially with the line, "You still don't believe that I'm a clone?"
- Fight Darth Vader as the Dark Apprentice
- Fight Darth Vader as a Stormtrooper
- Fight the Terror Walker as Boba Fett
- Fight the Gorog as Rahm Kota
- Clear out the Salvation as a Rebel Soldier, a Saber Guard, a Terror Trooper or a Rebel Commando
- Assault Cato Nemodia as any trooper (Storm Trooper, Jump Trooper, Sith Acolyte, Imperial Riot)
- Escape Kamino as a Sith Training Droid

Bonus Costumes from the Start

If you have a saved file on the first game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 1, you can unlock three costumes from the start of the game; Training Gear, Ceremonial Jedi Robes, and Sith Stalker.
(Note: Saved game files are located in My Documents, then locate the ones from Force Unleashed 1)

Mind Trick Tips

Mind Trick is a technique in The Force Unleashed that allows you to confuse your enemies or make them fight for you. Here are some other tips for maximizing this technique;
- Mind Trick does not limit it's use on 3 enemies, you can even mind-control all enemies on the area! To do this, mind-control a group of enemies and proceed to the next group to increase your mind-controlled army.
- When enemies are stunned, stumbled, or suppressed, you can use Mind Trick to make them explode instantly.
- When in Force Fury, you can even mind-control robots for your advantage.

Costume and Lightsaber Combinations

Try combining these different costumes and lightsabers for some custom character model themes for the player.
Dark Apprentice Robes + Yellow (Shock) Lightsabers - You know, black and yellow mixes very well and Shock causes additional damage to grab attacks.
Experimental Jedi Armor + Violet (Protection) - Both of these two offer one similarity; increased defense, besides, silver and violet mixes nicely.
Rahm Kota + Green (Healing or Life Drain) - This set makes you look exactly like Kota, but with two lightsabers instead.
Saber Guard + Red (Crimson) - The exact copy of a Saber Guard.
Hero's Armor + Any Blue - The costume set used in common artworks. It is also the defaul..

Unlock Guybrush Threepkiller (from Monkey Island)

After the area on the casino (2nd chapter) where a Carbonate War Droid freezes the door behind. Continue on the area until you find a Jabba Hutt Hologram with 3 Arcade Machines. Destroy these 3 machines and a Red Holocron will spawn on top. Grab it to receive this costume that lets you play as Guybrush Threepkiller from Monkey Island

Unlimited Supply of Force Points

On the first chapter, when you are escaping a hall from a Gun Ship (the area after you unlocked Mind Trick and escaped different barriers). Stop to the point in the middle and you will die instantly, upon death, you are given additional Force Points (to increase the quantity, you can stop at the middle part of the hall where there are Stormtroopers and breakable objects). With this trick, you can leave Starkiller running, stopping in the middle, and therefore, dying multiple times in the process to get infinite Force Points. There is a save point before the attack so you will not bother about restarting a part of the chapter.
