Scam!!!

If you have decent armour be weary of anyone who asks you if you want your it trimmed as this is more than likely the following scam.

Ask someone with nice armor if they want their armor trimmed. If they say 'No, you're a scammer' say 'No, I'm not I'm trying to get my level up thats why I'll do it for free'. Then once they give you the armor just keep it then you can sell it or wear it.
