You don't make thread you buy it from a crafting shop in Remmington or Al Kahirid. If you need wool not thread then you make it by sheering a sheep then spinning the wool into a ball of wool
You can't make thread, sorry...
You can spin wool into a ball of wool, but thread for leather must be bought. Try the crafting store in Al-Kharid.
You could acually do this in Lumbridge. If you are headed to varrock and you follow the crop fields and stuff you will find a sheep place.
First before you do this buy shears at a General Store for 1gp. Then cut the sheep's wool and then take it to Lumbridge Castle. Up to the Dukes room.
Then you see a spinner. Simply spin the wool and there you have your crafting level up.
Also right next to the sheep place theres a small chicken place. You could ask the guy in or out of the house and do a simple crafting quest.
Thats what I did. Add Aquaknight59 to your friend list. I can give you free stuff.
Sorry aquaknight59, but that is for a ball of wool not thread
Thread is to be bought at crafting stores like the one in Al-Kirhad and to get your crafting level up I think you should get silver ore and make holy symbols, they are easy to make get your mining up and sell higher when strung.
If you want to raise your crafting then startout by mining clay in the dwarven mines the use a bucket the a fountian at the monestary north of the barbarian village and use the clay with the buchet of water then go into the barb village and in one of the biuldings theres 2 potetrs wheels and 1 pottery furnace and you can make pots, pie dishes, and something else I can't remeber and start from there til lyou can make leather
PS
My name is soy_samuri I play on fri day nights and weekends if you find me ill give some cheap free stuff
