Question for Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

I am in the Torpedo Tubeway level of Hitman 2, I am currently in the 2nd basement in front of the observation room. I am not able to pick the lock on the door. I have pressed F7 to get the lockpick, but when I perform the action, all I do is look through the keyhole.

Can anyone tell me how to open the door?

To be honest I haven't had a problem picking the lock to the observation room in the second basement on Tubeway Torpedo, when you get to the door it should come up in the actions window in upper left corner of screen, you may have to scroll down to it from open door, and look through keyhole.

Actually I have found the easier way to approach this confrontation is to stop at the door on the other side, which is the door directly into the room the prisoner is being interrogated.

Holster your weapons and get out the pager, (which you should have picked up earlier along with a phone and other items in the company pick-up) then you drop the pager near the door.

Step back a few yards maybe behind a post in the wall across the hall. Get out the phone and call the pager. Quickly drop the phone and equip your silenced 9mm.

Your Target will come out the door upon hearing the sound of the pager, You get a nice clear chance at a headshot.

Also after you place the bomb, go back to the empty guard quarters (near the guard at the desk by the elevators) then detonate the bomb. Go to your map and watch all the guards running around in the sewers looking foir you.

Wait until they all come back through the hole in the wall to make your escape. If you time it right (by watching your map) you can blow up the guard who patrols in that room.

I am on the level St. Petersburg Revisited, and up till here I have figured out how to complete every mission as SILENT ASSASIN, the highest rank you can achieve on The Hitman 2 Silent Assasin.

I will be submitting complete Walkthroughs for every mission on Hitman Codename 47, and Hitman 2 Silent Assasin In upcoming weeks as I get the time to write this all out.
