Every time I fight the red dragon, I die!
Can someone give me a hint on how to beat him?

It's easiest if you finish the fire war first, then go to Sunbreeze Grove and grow your pet dragon into a toddler dragon, and unlock the primal skills. After that, just use your new primal skills as often as you can and the rest is easy.
