In One Piece World Seeker Karma is a meter that measures your friendship level and is needed to open up some of the side missions. If you are not a the right karma level for some characters, the next side mission might not unlock. Karma is earned based on how many main missions you complete, or side activities you do.
Always look to mix up Luffy's attacks when he is in combat so you can find out which ones work best against certain enemies. Remember that new special attacks will become unlocked as you play.
You will be introduced to the crafting system of One Piece World Seeker once you have played the game for a couple of hours. This feature will enable you to craft pieces of equipment using the materials you come across that will boost Luffy's skills. To craft you first need to find the recipe for the piece of equipment you want to make and then visit Franky on Thousand Sunny (Luffy's Ship).
