Make sure you take advantage of your ability to scan the environment in CyberPunk 2077 in order to gather data on nearby objects and NPCs, spot and tag hostiles, and view hackable objects which can be used to influence the wider environment. You are not limited in the amount of times you can activate your character's scanning mode, the only time you will not be able to use it is during some scripted moments where the game disables it.

It is crucial that you scan the environment to analyze your surroundings whenever you need to traverse through enemy territory undetected as it will enable you tag enemies so you can track their movement patterns. It also enables you to reveal hidden loot and hackable items. Another good time to scan the enviroment is when you are faced with crowded areas as doing so can help you to spot items or objects.

To Scan the environent in PC you simply have to press the Tab key on your keyboard. In PlayStation 4 you press and hold L1 on your controller and on Xbox One you press and hold LB.
