Complete Daily Missions

When you first enter the game it is recommended that you prioritize the Daily Missions as this will help you in the long run by enabling you to earn gold and experience. You will be rewarded for each Daily Mission that you complete and most of them will involve tasks that you would do anyway during a match, so it makes sense to find out what the mission involves and get the rewards for completing them. Daily Missions can be anything from dealing a certain amount of damage to picking up a specified number of weapons.

Pick Up High Rating Weapons

There is a whole arsenal of weapons you can discover and equip your character with, these include Pistols, Shotguns, Submachine Guns, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Grenades, and Bombs. These weapons will have a rarity rating, the rarer the weapon the more destructive it will be. The lowest rating is White (Common) and the highest rating is Gold (Legendary). In between those color ratings are Green, Blue, and Purple. Ideally you want to get your hands on the best weapons possible, so it is essential that you keep an eye on your compass which will tell you when a chest full of goodies is nearby by a shiny icon appearing. Another way to get high-quality weapons is by being the first player to grab the loot from airdrops that transport chests onto the battlefield.

Earn Exchange Medals

Aside from gold and experience you can also earn Exchange Medals from completing the Daily Missions which you can then spend on special chests that contain random rewards such as gold, Star Coins, and weapon skins. You will be able to unlock one silver chest for 5 Exchange Medals, and one gold chest once a week for 30 Exchange Medals which will contain substantially more rewards. Doing the Daily Missions to get the Exchange Medals is worthwhile as the gold and Star Coins you get from them will come in useful during matches.

Use the Compass to Check for Enemies

It is important that you keep an eye on your compass. In Creative Destruction your compass is the set of lines and numbers at the top of your screen. Not only will the compass tell you your character's orientation in relation to the map it will also tell you where sounds are coming from. If there is an enemy in your vicinity a footprints icon will appear on the compass, once that enemy is a few meters from you the icon will turn yellow and then red when they are right beside you. The same thing will happen when there is shooting nearby, a pistol icon will appear on the compass and will turn red or yellow depending on how far away the shooter is from you. Get into the habit of relying on the compass as it will help you to determine the location of the enemy, dodge bullets, and return fire.

Collect Materials with your Destructor

The only weapon you start out with in Creative Destruction is the Destructor which you can use to dismantle anything in your path and transform it into essential building material. This weapon is harmless against other players, it is however very useful providing you have collected enough building materials for protecting yourself from surprise attacks from your opponents by immediately erecting a bastion around yourself. The protection this bastion offers however is limited, but it will give you enough time to check your compass and get the necessary information you need to get to grips with the situation and to formulate a plan to deal with it accordingly.
