How do you Upgrade Weapons in Oninaki

Oninaki uses a system that is different to other RPG games when it comes to equipping weapons. Instead of equipping actual weapons you instead equip Daemons to have a different weapon style. This How do you Upgrade Weapons guide will tell you everything you need to know.

In your inventory you will see a progress bar alongside weapons you have acquired, this progress bar indicates that the weapon is upgradable. The Alchemist shop in Deto is where your weapons are upgraded and until you successfully defeat Kushi following his possession by the Night Devil this shop is closed and the option to upgrade weapons is unavailable to you.

Once you have defeated Kushi you will be able to upgrade your weapons by going to Deto. At Deto head towards the golden rectangular icon on the left side area of the map. From there you need to go to the Alchemist's shop and talk to the shopkeeper. When you do this a menu will appear that enables you to choose the weapon you want to upgrade. At this point you need to make a decision as to where you get the weapon material to upgrade from. You can either break down your old and unused weapons or alternaely break down the better weapons you have.

The quality of the weapons you break down will be reflected in the upgrade, the better the weapon used the stronger the upgrade will be. You will be able to select up to eight weapons in your inventory to sacrifice for the upgrade. If you look at the 'Upgrade' meter on the left you will see there is a max you can upgrade a specific weapon and there is the possibility it may be reached with less than eight weapons. You also need to take into consideration before making a decision that some weapons will be capable of getting more upgrades and becoming stronger than other weapons.

Check out our How to Complete the Lost Soul Side Quests guide to find out what is involved in each of these tasks which enable you to earn a Null Stoone when completed.
