Question for The Urbz : Sims in the City

OK...i have a couple questions..

1)im on the rep missions an I can't find the wood for the nerdies..an I can't figure out how to get the mission for the streeties..

2)i talk to people an they give me a rep point but when I go look at my points with the reps they don't go up..y is that...

1) every once in a while if you go through the tunnel in the police station theyre there and in the bayou sometimes
