Question for The Urbz : Sims in the City

How do I get a pet such as a dog or cat.Do I have to p,play something and win the animals as prize? Please answer quickly because I am a person with short temper

Al you have to do is talk to the lady you see when you come into Sim Quarter be careful because you can only get one pet at a time
