I always come last in the race so I can't beat Dusty Hog! I have changed the upgrades to the ones suggested on some sites but I still keep crashing! Is there anything I can do to get better?

Well, I struggled on taht as well. When you are jumping off a hill, tilt backwards by pressing the left button on the control pad + so you don't land acwardly on the hill, otherwise you will crash.
