Can't get past Chef Butcher and the peach!

Can't get past Chef Butcher and the peach!

I cannot get past the first stage with Chef Butcher.
I have made friends with Ms.Weeder and completed the banana task.
It has been suggested on other forums that I need to make friends with Chef Butcher by talking to him and giving him gifts.
When I approach Chef Butcher I have three options:
1) Examine
2) Talk
3) Deliver items

When I choose either option two or three I have the same interaction and same result. It appears that I insult him and it gets him mad.
Help! I just want to give him the darn peach so I can move on already!

I'd like to know this too. I've completed the banana task but I can't ask Ms. Weeder to offer help. And then when I try to complete the task for Chef Butcher and offer help to give him a peach, he gets angrier and turns back to the tree and I can't get any further. My Sim keeps showing Chef's head in the bubble, like that's where I need to be, but I thought I had to offer more help to Ms. Weeder before and get the plant nutrients from the Doctor before moving on. I'm so stuck right now...

Hey!! I had the exact same problem. I think all I did was continually talk to him and give him presents. If you also split it up over a few days. He is extremely annoying and my relationship status with him never seems to be good. Keep trying and don't get too frustrated!!! Sorry it's not much help!

Just keep talking to him! Once the relationship bar turns from red to green is when you can give him the gifts! It's the same for the 3 other people on the island if there not happy they wont except any gifts or help you! You have to just keep talking to them!

Okay what you need to do is talk to him when he's already in the green right before getting the peach out of the tree then tee here should be a silver items option once you do that and click on it
