Ok I saw the mermaid but she keeps running away and the wayfaring heart I don't get it what do I do plz help thanx lotz

When you see the mermaid, don't get too close. Get just close enough that you can see her at the corner of the screen. Then hit her with the boomerang. She'll get stunned, then talk to you.

After killing all the enemies, look for her in the sea, when you see her get your boomerang ready to fire at her, but make sure you don't move or else she might move, if you are close. The Wayfaring heart, Im not too sure but if your talking about the wood heart you get in the trading side quest, the old wayfarer should be on the sea as an extra ship, which should be easy to identify if you know the sea chart well.
