How do you get Luigi's hat back from the snowman on Snowman's Land?

There is two ways.
1) Get rid of the snowman by running around him and than he should spin around quickly. (I had found this really irritating when I lose Mario's hat)
2) There should be a toad near the front door of inside the castle, he may have your hat if you had collected another star in a course, left a course or restarted the game. (i can't remember which one it was, because a borrowed this game off a friend)

Take crate by the ice blocks and throw it at snowman has Luigi's hat. Make sure you are Luigi Snowman's Land!
