Question for Super Mario 64 DS

Yeah I'm new to this game I've played the original but I never got past the first flor lol.

So I was wondering I have unlocked all the characters and I have 54 stars buy I'm am stuck. I forgot the name of the level but it's the first painting you go into the star with no number.

Any ways I'm stuck on one of the stars it's called "Mario Takes to the Skys" I just can't find the star could someone please help me I've been stuck on it for like 3 days when I got the game.

Go up to the island in the sky and fly through all the rings of coins up there until you see the numbers come up theres 5 of them

You mean mario wings to the sky.
Use mario and break a red box to get a pare of wings.
Then look for a floating island thing in the sky.
Once you see that use a cannon to get to it.
Once your on it you'll see 5 circles of coins.
Use mario and the cannon if you need it to get the coin in the middle if each circle.
Once you get all 5 a star should appear somewhere

first hop into the cannon (any one you want) and then get the wings and hop into the cannon and go through the middle of every coin then get the star
