OK, my friend Sam is stuck on this part. He's stuck where you are in Metropolis and trying to mount the cannon. When he went to mount it a guardian appeared that beat him. When he tried to get Omega, he couldn't beat the bots guarding him. His Eggman and Tails team is Amy and Big. The only person availible at the safehaven is Rouge. He has all items and chao equipped to each team member. Everyone is at level 8.

Your characters don't have a high enough level yet, so I recomend that you try to Lvl op a little, so that your safe. Either that or use an action replay and hack yourself to perfection.
Maybe you he should try a few health and pow items to restore your HP and PP and use Pow moves for extra attacks
