Talk to the girl dressed up girl in the Right mansion. She'll tell you that she's embarrassed by your house and to collect wood to upgrade your house. Then she'll ask if you have an axe and have Tabatha, her maid, bring you a "Cheap Axe" It can only cut branches to start though. (Same house you get the friendship glove by talking to the maid)
