how do i get wood? or where do i find them?

I been playing this game..and I havent got any wood..
Im trying to build a something but I need a wood.... Where do I get them???? Please help me guys...

You chop sticks with the axe or battle axe ect
You find them in your feild.

Get the axe from Bianca at Jasper's house, just talk to her until she asks if you have an axe-she'll give you one!

Then you use that axe to chop wood logs in your field or in caves to get one log each.
You can upgrade your axe over at Leo's so you can chop tree stumps and get 10 wood!

You cannot chop tree stumps until your axe is upgraded-it's just not strong enough to cut them down!
