I just got the game and have gone into the Carmite Cave for the first time. I have tried to "deal" with the first few monsters and got nowhere fast. What is it I am supposed to do? If I hit them with the sword they come back for more, and I tried to touch them with the Friendship glove but that did no good. Can someone please fill me in a little on what to do with these monsters?

If you keep on hitting the monsters they will keep coming back right so you have to destroy the gray things because if you don't they will keep on coming out of it. Or if you want the monsters you use the glove it doesnt matter if the keep on attacking you, you will get the monsters after you see about 3-5 hearts above it
If you really don't need to destroy them then don't just run and they can't catch u
