Which one?

If you are planning to buy one of the two, I'd recommend Pok�mon Platinum. Pok�mon Ranger Shadows of Almia is also a great game, but if you want to play pokemont he normal way, buy Platinum. I suggest you to buy Pok�mon Ranger Shadows of Almia now, and gather money until March 22nd (Platinum's release date). You have plenty of time to do it. Hope this helps!

Well Pokemon platinum doesn't come out till march so you could have enough money to buy it then and get this game now. Well in Pokemon platinum it's basically just a spin off of diamond and pearl the only thing that has changed is that there are new forms of some pokemon. There are slight changes in battling and slight changes in the gyms.

In Pokemon ranger you get missions to follow. You always have a partner with you. There are over 260 Pokemon to get. About 17 partner pokemon. You start off in a ranger school and work your way through the game from there. It is a really good game. I would recommend getting it. But it is up to you.

I would get platinum because it is a much more exciting game, now I have ranger but platinum hasnt came out in my country so I'm waiting for it

I agree with the other two answers on the top because having both games will add to you're enjoyment...I would save up until march for platinum and buy ranger now and ranger is a great follow up in the series...Both are great games so I recommend ranger now and platinum after you save from you're allowance or wherever you get the money from...
