OK, I've tried everything you guys said to do to beat salamence in the 4 trial level thing. No of them worked. Please tell me how to do this!

Ok, here's what you do. You wait until he does his huge earthquake attack. Then, you loop him once and wait let go. Soon salamence will fly and at that time immediately draws loops unitl the blue numbers will disapear and you will catch salamence.
Try making marks on the touch screen (not loops) near the salamence until an exclamation mark appears above it's head, then lift the stylus(its about to attack). If you draw loops around it really fast, you can catch it without poke assists.
Or if you need to use them, that would be a good time.

My way is sort of easy, sort of hard. Loop around it, stop after a few loops. While it's in the bubble, loop around where it will land. This works for Flygon as well.
