How do I battle them I never did I got the orbs before the elite four and there not there!!??

Easy. Keep going up your way to Spear Pillar. There'll be a part with a waterfall (near the higest part...it's just before the snowy part...). Go to that part, and go up to the waterfall and to the cave above...inside, it'll be both orbs and one item if I'm not mistaken.
