I have a couple questions
1)What is ev training
2)How do you ev train?
3)Which natures boost which stats?
4)How many ribbons do you need to get into the ribbon club in the resort areq?
5)A swimmer in the resort area claims there is a "ruler" there. How do you get this so called ruler?

1) EV training is like battling the same type of Pokemon over and over while you train in order to gain more of a certain stat. For example, Zubat is good to EV train against if you want Speed. Battling a bunch of Zubats will cause your speed stat to go up more than the standard 2-3 points.

3) Adamant, Brave, Naughty, and Lonely all boost Atk. Adamant gives a drop for Sp Atk, Brave drops Spd, Naught drops Sp Def and Lonely drops Def.
Quiet, Rash, Mild, and Modest all boost Sp Atk. Quiet drops Spd, Rash drops Sp Def, Mild drops Def and Modest drops Atk.
Jolly, Hasty, Timid, Naive all boost Spd. Jolly drops Sp Atk, Hasty drops Def, Timid drops Def, Naive drops Sp Atk.
Lax, Relaxed, Bold, and Impish all boost Def. Lax drops Sp Def, Relaxed drops Spd, Bold drops Atk, Impish drops Sp Atk.
Calm, Sassy, Gentle, and Careful all raise Sp Def. Calm drops Atk, Sassy drops Spd, Gentle drops Def, Careful drops Sp Atk.
Docile, Bashful, Hardy, Serious, and Quirky provide no boost or drop.

The 'ruler' is referring to the highest level wild Pokemon in the history of Pokemon games. A level 100! It's a Magikarp though. You can catch any level there while fishing with the super rod.

1. EV Training is gaining Exp. Points and other stats by battling against the same Pokemon over and over.
2. I said it above.
3. I have no clue.
4. 10 Ribbons.
5. The hidden ruler is a Magikarp Lv.87. You get it by fishing with a super rod in the Resort Area. Magikarp from Lv.60 to Lv.87 come up there. The one you'll face is a Magikarp with a random level between Lv.60 and Lv. 87.
