That's a pretty easy thing. Has Chimecho told you that you can change leaders? If he has and you have Haunter and Abra recruited, then just choose Haunter and choose "make leader". You get Abra the same way as you call for other Pokemon as partners. Make sure to put the Pokemon you don't want on standby.
