There is no set number. Hatching a shiny Pokemon is just as difficult as finding one in the wild. You have a 1 in 8192 chance. You are not guarenteed to find one, you could get one on your 10th egg or not until your 20000th.
Your chances improve to one in 1639 if you use the Masuda method. You need two Pokemon from different countries (one caught in your game, and one traded for over the GTS). For example, breeding a female Petilil from the US with a male Petilil from the UK will result in an egg that is 6x more likely to hatch into a shiny Petilil. Please note: The Pokemon you are breeding (the mother and father) do not need to be of the same species, they only need to be in the same egg group.
