No, you cannot get to the Dream World by going through the Dream Yard.
To get to the Dream World, you must first set up an Account on the Pokemon Global Link Website. After that, put one of your Pokemon to sleep by using Game Sync on your C-Gear. Once your Pokemon is asleep, you can access the Dream World on the Pokemon Global Link Website.

No you will not be teleported to the dream world, the only thing there worth catching is munna and the musharna.
