Question for Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends

Hiya there,
It seems like everyone knows about the "bush on dog, trainerpoint every 1 min!"
But it doesnt work for me, I select the rubber-brush and I don't evan move it at all (because it's already of centre of the dog) I put it on sleep mode, then I wait for an hour, I look back and I still have the same amount of trainer points.
Can someone tell me how to get it working, because everyone is talking about it and I need it so much. Is it because of the time, the brush, the dog, or anything else,

REPLY ASAP!!!!!

Blingyuss

Don't put it in sleep mode!

Missy11992 answered:

Sleep mode only pauses the game, so if you want to get more points, keep the top up.

Guest answered:

You put the brush in the middle of the dog and leave it there you would see sparkles, then charge your s/dsi/ds lite/dsxl in a keep the top open and you see a difference
