My daughter cannot get her dog to understand it's name.she had the game..

1)Try saying it's name in the same tone each time you say it.
2)when you select the dog read it's discription on the touch screen(some dogs are really brainless)

Make 100% sure you are in a complety quiet area without the slightest of noise. Even footsteps can make the dog wonder. Hope your daughter can enjoy the game!

You have to use a dogs name constantly.

Here are some popular names that I used and I only needed to say them 4 times!!!!
Girl: Queen,Cream,Hope,Niffty,Niffy

Boy: Kyle,Mike,Mikey,Miky hope this helps!!!

Here are the steps.
1. Make sure your in a quiet area.
2. Say the name clearly and in a nice tone of voice.
3. Make sure the name you want is a name you really want because you can't change it later.
4. It will take a while for the dog to understand so you might need to say the name the same as the first try because saying it differently will mess it up and make you try again. If that doesn't work try a different name and start over.

Trust me I had the same problem tell her to say her dogs name loud after she is done naming her it will say something like every time you call it's name it will respond to you. Next call it's name in the ds or dsi microphone when the the dog runs toward her on the game tell her to rub the dogs head and repeat the steps over and over soon she will not have to rename the dog but be warned it's only about 10 minutes that she can do those steps if she can not do those steps in 10 minutes she will have to rename her dog again but tell her to keep trying and to never give up

You have to get your dog to understand the name at least 5 times.I had the exact same thing happened to me. It got so bad that I needed to restart the game and pick a different dog. The nameing works better for the dog the game is based around.
