I have Chihuahua and friends but I have unlocked the husky, which is only on the daschsund game. And someone told me you cant unlock breeds from other games. HUH??

Well, that person was wrong, because you obviously can unlock other breeds.
Indeed, he was wrong. You can unlock ALL breeds in your game, with a few (thousand) trainer points!
Well you can. By spending time with your dog you get trainer points and every 2000 points you unlock a new dog.
