Is there a cheat to get the lucky collar and red rose faster on nintendogs and cats toy poodle?

I'm trying to breed my boxers and I know I don't need the lucky collar and rose, but it raises the chance of them breeding (if they can breed) and I walked 2,663 steps on the pedometer and got a $3 bow. Then I walked 1,659 steps and got a stick. And I'm way to lazy to do it again and for the lucky collar I'd need 10,000 steps. PLEASE HELP ME, I'm BEGGING YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!
