To get to worlds4 and 7 you have to beat world 2 as mini mario and beat world5 as mini mario to unlock world 7.

Yeah, the above answer is correct, but...
Also, you have to make mini Mario jump into the air and hit a button to make you spin, then he'll slam down on the boss enough to damage it(must do 3x to kill)-if you jump on it regularly he will bounce off, and not count as a hit.
Hope this helps, I got this info from my hubby who beat it in like 10 days between work, etc., with no guide. He's a Mario's pro though, so this should help.
