Hi, I can't seem to tap between already beaten worlds. My son has dropped his DS MANY times. Could this be a game issue or the DS issue? I can use the touch screen at the beginning of the game to choose the game mode or file, etc.

If your son dropped his DS many times as you stated, it can affect the DS' touch screen to not end up working or even up to the point where the screen is cracked from the inside. I had this situation happen to me with an old DS whilst playing Pokemon Diamond and Pearl I had about six to seven years ago and sometimes it'll end up working at random occurrences but it mostly ended up not working for about five to eight weeks. I'd also like to note that pushing the touch screen with a certain amount of pressure can also work, but I wouldn't suggest doing that since that can also damage the touch screen itself as well as cracking it. If the problem were to persist, I would highly suggest sending it over Nintendo to fix the touch screen issue.
