No, I'm afraid there is no way to be Yoshi in New. Super Mario Bros.

But, incase you didn't know, you can play as Luigi, on the screen where you select your game file, hold down L + R and press A on the correct file, now you will be able to play as Luigi.

You cannot become yoshie. You can be Luigi. Heres how. Go to the place where you can choose which file you want to play. Then highlight which file you want to play Luigi in. (dont touch it on the touch screen- use arrows)Then hold down L and R at the same time. While still holding the L & R push A. There you go. Just so you know once you become Luigi, you cannot change back to Mario in that file.

Being yoshi in story mode is fake and being luigi is real being mario......u should know

No, unfortunatley. But you can be Luigi by pressing L R A on any save file (completed or not). Also you could go on a completed save file and enter on the PAUSED screen this code: L R L R X X Y Y. This code will enable you to use Super Challenge mode. This is when for example, in the original Super Mario Bros. you go forward in a level, but you cannot go back. If you get stuck, press Start and press on return to map. This code will be disabled only on castles and auto-scroll levels. Good Luck ;)

u can be yoshi if u beat all levels with mini. every level, and there is world 9 too if u beat ALL levels with mini no exceptions

OK, I've got a whole lot of cheats from a card called r4, which lets you have cheats and a lot of games in the one card which you can get at Carribean Gardens. all my friends have it. I tried the cheat for being Luigi, then I got the cheat for 99 coins and 99 lives. That's all I did, I have no idea whether the cheat works, but I don't really need to work it out, because I've heard loads of stuff like that with other games, like in Animal Crossing you can get a puppy, WRONG! Yeah, so it's likely to be a rumour, whoever spread the rumour in first place should get blamed, not the people who have heard and believed them. The thing is, you can only play Yoshi in minigames, in one or two. On the wii version, some levels have blocks that when you hit spout out an egg, which will turn into Yoshi. When you jump on Yoshi, you can eat enemies, breath in fireballs, hammers, and stuff like that, then when you spit them out, the fireball or whatever it is comes out of it's mouth, and if you're lucky hits an enemy. The wii version of this game is pretty cool, it doesn't have minigames though. When you play multiplayer, and one person's got a Yoshi and the other hasn't you can get the person who has the Yoshi to put you in it's mouth. It sounds complicated, but it's good for going through tough places. The thing is I'm pretty horrible at this game, my sister does all the work most of the time, but it's really fun, you should get it if you have a wii. So except for minigames, no you can't be Yoshi. sorry.

Possibly. I tried the mini Luigi one, but I SUCK at the final boss. You never know though............. And some people have seen yoshi gameplay. Even if the real one seemed fake, you can try. So what about arguments. Just try a way that seems easiest.

No yoshi, but mini games have him. And you can use 4 players. Last player is yoshi. So, no yoshi I'm afraid. But I did hear something like action replay that makes you yoshi.

I do not know but you can be luigi all you have to do is hold L and are button and choose mario game keep halding and choose your file then your luigi

There is no way to be Yoshi in the main game without Action Replay. You can only play as Yoshi in the minigames mode. The 'rumour' that if you are mini Luigi and complete the last level is FAKE. You cannot get Yoshi. Full stop.

You need to get on a three star file as Luigi (hold L+R and select file to get him). Then go to world 7 castle and around passed the half-way flag there might be a secret white pipe. Enter the white pipe to get to Lakithunder's boss room (at this point you'll know you are doing it right if Lakithuder's boss room sky is black). He'll be different though. Instead of spinny eggs he'll throw black yoshi eggs with purple stuff around it. Fire balls don't affect him either. Jump on him three times, and he''ll start going crazy and shoot lightning and yoshi eggs all over the place. Jump on him two more times and he will be defeated. But instead of a key, you'll get a yoshi egg for your troubles. It'll hatch and you'll get yoshi. Yay!

ALL FAKE!!! No one is telling the blooming truth but you can play as Wario in super Mario Bros Wii
All you have to do is go to 8-7,jump over the checkpoint flag start ducking then yo will warp to the normal flagpole and when you jump on to it instead of Mario's voice it Wii be Wario's saying: I'm A WARIO AND I'm A going to WINNAR!!! I tried it it didn't work but should four you guys!!!
