You haven't said which 2 secret items you're talking about so I'll just say all of them.
#14 - Place 1st on Wiggler's Garden after unlocking the Piranah Plant rival badge.
#28 - Place 1st on Toadette's Music Room after unlocking the Toadette friend badge
#42 - Get 50 or more stars on DK's Stone Statue.
#56 - Place 1st on Kamek's Library after unlocking the Koopa friend badge.
#70 - Place 1st on Bowser's Pinball Machine after unlocking the Bowser rival badge.
#71 - Play as Toad in many different minigames.
