How do I know that I have a staff ghost and is snaking the same as power sliding.

2. Actually now I do its:
Snaking is continously using the mini-turbo boost (holding R then pressing on the D-pad right, left, right, left) in a zig-zag formation, looking like a snake (that's why it's called snaking).

Go to start a time trials course. On the ghost selection screen, scroll right or left. If you have a staff ghost, it will show up. Snaking is pretty much the same as power sliding, only it's quicker to pull off, and, if done correctly, can be done more than once on the same turn.

1) When you go to time trials, a ghost wil be named "ninten*" and have lots of symbols after it. The bottom will also say staff ghosts. Thes are really hard to beat.
2)Snaking is using powerslides repeatedly.
