Psychosis Ghost answered:

You can powerslide by coming around a corner, say, if the turn is going right, hold R and left, then you're power slide (vice versa with left turn). Once you get better at it, you can press left and right simulataneously to make a blue power slide, which won't give you a boost, do it again, and you'll get an orange boost, let go, and you'll gain a small boost.

Happy power sliding.

admiralsyrup answered:

The end is wrong. You press and hold R, then you tap left, right, left, then right again until the sparks are orange. Then you let go of R. YOU DO A BOOST!

choc dude answered:

Plus if you have a light weight car your speed boost will be longer
(like yoshi-egg car)
