Question for Mario Kart DS

I need to know (from an experienced Action Replay user) if there is a way to combine the already-made pressing Select on the character select screen to play as Shy Guy, and the Play as Red Shy Guy (w/kart) codes. I have them here:

(Press Select to play as Shy Guy)
94000130 fffb0000
023cdbc0 0000000c
023cdc04 0000000c
023cdc48 0000000c
023cdc8c 0000000c
D2000000 00000000

(Red Shy Guy in kart)
023cdd44 00000024
023cdd40 0000000c
023d99dc 00000003

So I'm a total noob, and have no idea if there is a way to put that red shy guy in kart code together with the 'Select' button activator; I don't know which lines of the first code represent the button activator. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

So you mean there is also no way I could make a button activator code for it?
