Question for LEGO The Lord of the Rings

On taming Gollum, I cannot get the fishing rod to work and I think I'm missing a bit. Have found the piece in the cave but then I'm stuck, can anybody help?

Have you collected the hook the rope and the rod? You have to collect three things. You have to drop the items exactly where the arrow points . If you set it down a little bit off it will keep pointing where you have to drop it. Then, once every thing is put together you use the fishing rod to pull up a fish. You aim the fish at gollum and release and he falls down.
