knock down boulders

How do I knock down that boulder on the NorthWest side of my ranch? I was thinking and I thought maybe I can upgrade my hammer but I just wanted to see what people who have actully done it before I spend too much on upgrading it.

All you need to do is add a Yellow Wonderful to your hammer, and Charlie (Chen's son) will want to see what happens to the boulder. Basically it BLASTS it into pieces and you can now grow rice and other crops like it.

When you find a Yellow Wonderful go to Chen's shop and talk to Charlie and he'll equip it to your hammer and it'll trigger an event. Wondefuls are these stones that you can equip to your tools to strengthen them. To get wonderfuls, you can go to floor 255 in the mine(the very bottom of the mine) or you can win a festival of some sort, or in winter sometimes Chen will sell them, depending on your farm points ending in a 5(no you can't view your farm points unless you cheat). Hope this helps.
